We were staring down the barrell of a gun and we appointed Mary Poppins to be our saviour, that was more ridiculous to me. Roeder whilst had no credibility from football fans had credibility in the footballing world, a wealth of experience, coaching and managing teams.

I'm not blaming the fans at all, just pointing out a fact. People didn't like him from day 1. I remember the day he was appointed, I think I threw my mouse at my monitor and called our board stupid c**ts, for some reason Glenn Roeder has an unlikable persona.
