but generically thiose little places without teams mean that football fans living there either support a long standing "family" team, or latch onto near enough anything!

interstingly enough, i used to watch cheltenham town in the Doctor Martins League and most who went were actually bigger fans of other clubs (loads of villa, west brom, spurs, west hams, and us norwich!) - it was the one thing on a saturday where we could all unite and cheer the same team.....mainly cos it had no effect on norich, west brom etc etc......

today now chelt have risen throught the leagues they have built up a fan base of their own and little do you see supporters of other teams going to watch them these days.......
