we have a similar thing

those with degree's that come here often end up making decisions they shouldn't as they;ve had years of being told how clever they are. Which is fine. but their degree in Art History, Microbiology or whatever gives them no basis what so ever to make underwriting decisions on Travel Insurance.
Its not what they are paid (badly) to do, so why put themselves in that risky position?

Also many of them have gone through uni without realising that their actions carry consequences, that if they f**k up in the real world they;ll get a bollocking.
So many still think they can come up with an excuse, or act as they would with lecturers over late coursework, then get the arse when that doesn't work.

Got one at the minute, she's spent 2 months knowingly doing a certain element wrong, she admitted she had got confused but never thought to ask in either the training, or the 3 coaching sessions she's had with me since that time.
Yet she can't see what she's done wrong.
Yes we should of picked it up sooner (I won't go into the specifics) but essentially it was following simple instructions from a script, and those calls rarely got checked as it so f**king simple.
