is that if you don't agree specific targets and goals, then it's very much open to ambiguity.

There should have been a clear message given to Worthy pre-season about a certain level of perfomance and expectation... and the consequences of failing to meet that level.

It is NOT good enough to say, "we expect promotion." Of course we hope that's achieved, but if there's no recourse for failing to achieve certain levels in whatever job or business, then it's an acceptance that failure is OK. It's not.
