end batsmen virtually impossible against an old ball hooping around all over the place.

It would be harder to bat against the old ball than the new ball, which reverses the whole concept of having your best batsmen at the top of the order.

You're both wrong, and the only reason Woolmer is saying this is because his team is guilty as charged.
