not with our resources. No-one in this division can afford the quality of midfielders to get away without a decent target-man type, and no one in this division ever gets anywhere without one.
Even the best City team ever in passing terms (the 93/4 team) needed one - Sutton - and would have been nowhere near as good without one.
Bottom line - we don't play hoofball BECAUSE we have a big striker (we still played hoofball in the seciond half of last season even when we lacked one), we need a big striker because in this division even the better teams are inevitably going to need to hit a fair number of long balls.
It would be nice to play like Arsenal but it ain't going to happen - probably ever.
