Yeah, probably a bit harsh to leave Pirlo out really.

Although I couldn't really leave out Zizou, despite the tragic and disgraceful ending, the breath-taking Argentina midfield needed a representative and I thought Gattuso was even better in the Italian midfield than Pirlo tbh - crucial to an Italian team, which, rather than being purely defensive as in years gone by, built a team capable of attacking (at least against the weaker teams) on a very solid defence, and defensive midfielder.

But yes, I was a bit sorry not to find room for Pirlo. But I went for Zambrotta and Gattuso, who definitely deserved to be in there.
