It’s also about intent. If I could feel you holding me, as opposed to the gentle lover’s touch you mention, I’d make it obvious somehow; if it didn’t affect me and I could get to the ball, I’d go for the ball(s) every time.

But all of it is trying to gain advantage by pushing the limits of what’s acceptable.
