The problem is clearly the batting

The bowlers may have been a bit inconsistent, but have put in as good a job as anyone might expect. Batters... consistently below par. This game was lost in the first innings.

What to do? Bethell/Root/Brook/Stokes aren't going anywhere, so that leaves dabbling with non-obvious openers and considering an alternative keepers.

Then the prep... lack of practice games, lack of analysts and coaches, particularly for a relative inexperienced bowling attack. That's one the team management.
