Guess I'm in a minority

but I am glad it was a public shaming of professional athletes not doing the basic parts of their role (being fit, mid-season).

As Stacey said in the Guardian piece, it should be on the individual players to make sure they are fit enough to perform. Stacy always looks so much fitter than many of the other players and he clearly feels it's a club-wide issue.
