I work in financial services

We class ISAs, pension contributions, EIS & VCTs as tax avoidance measures which are obviously legal.
We openly use the term avoidance.
There is obviously the grey area of schemes that claim to legally avoid tax, this would include the film schemes a lot if footballers were stung by in recent years.
You also have areas like IR35.
Ultimately if it looks like s**t, and smells like s**t it probably is!
