The sanctions (specifically swift/freezing their currency reserve) will be huge. Just wait for the melt down on Monday. That alone risks an escalation.

Use of tactical nuclear weapons remains part of Russian military doctrine. Extreme caution is warranted - we are backing Putin into a corner and that’s dangerous in itself.

Not quite sure what you think we ought to be doing.
