They'd said it often enough.
Both Webber & Farke would have loved him to stay - but it was obvious from the beginning of the Champs season before that was never going to happen.
They did well to hold onto him, get him performing and help him to help us to promotion - contract ir not.

Reality is that good players will use us as a stepping stone and move onto bigger clubs eventually if they are determined to.
