Recommendations for MOT - Halfords the obvious choice

but do they fail you for marginal things they can then charge you lots to "fix" there? Where I used to live I found an excellent mechanic and used him for years.

Yes I do need to renew my MOT despite lockdown, that's changed from earlier in the year.
