clearly vaccine is better than no vaccine, but when deciding how to act now, we need to understand (or try to guess) the end game. If eg (which is not the case) there was never to be a vaccine or any treatment at all, there'd be no point at all in temporary lockdowns. It's part of how you make a rational decision.
