Two space rule is from typewriters

And has echoed on from people who were trained in that era.

Lots of funny habits (like keyboard layouts) stem from that.

We'll be back to dictation pretty soon I'd reckon. While I'd not like to predict the end of the email, I think the drift to remote working will have some significant changes to the ways in which we formally communicate (and the formats in which we gain and consume reading materials).

Interesting times.
