it's my one of my few bugbears when reviewing stuff juniors have written. Can't get excited about anything else (even the dreaded split infinitives!) but any single space will get a big swirling circle of red pen.
*Totally* irrational, and they'll probably hate me in the same way that I still hate the partner who attacked every split infinitive when I was a trainee
