Anyway the fact we can argue the toss I think shows there is enough there to meaningfully threaten relegation.

i still think there is a reasonable case to say the season is cannot he ended until 38 games have been played. If that were the case the league will either have to play it out (whenever you can) or come to some kind of equitable negotiated solution. That’s where I think the expanded premier league would be more likely to come in.

I agree though that you may end up forcing the season to be played out but then we haven’t really got a lot to lose in that scenario.
