I do agree with your idea of plan ahead, nothing lost by getting ducks aligned. (Not actual ducks, that would be silly, and wouldn't help anything).

But the worst happening, which it will do for a fair few people with parents being shall only be compounded by crap you dont need such as companies challenging your decisions to look after parents finances etc.
