Thats covering two different scenarios.

The first is when a ball is passed to a team mate. The second is when the ball is flicked on or deflected or diverted to a team mate with a single touch.

If it was "first contact with the ball" that would be when Zaha picked it up at the edge of the box which is clearly not right.
