The VAR official gets 3 frames to choose from

He chooses the first point of contact which is almost always obvious. I don’t get why people think it’s such a random crude process but then they should be transparent showing the before and after frames from Hawkeye where it’s clear.

Plus according to the Bundesliga, the number of offside decisions which would be changed from using the before or after frame is negligible so the obsession isn’t even warranted anyway
