I'm not sure it is, one party has made ending homelessness a mainstay of their manifesto

while the other major party has remained conspicuously silent on the issue despite the fact that there are more homeless people on the streets than in anyone's lifetime.

I was shocked the last few times I've been back (every two years on average). The amount of people who seem to be living permanently on the street is an absolute disgrace in a developed nation.
