He’s not saying he doesn’t realise that likening black people to chimps is racist as he says as soon as he realised how it could be interpreted he took it down.

He’s saying he didn’t even think or consider the fact Meghan has a black mother when he posted the tweet.

Whether people believe that or not is up to them.
