There are many contradictions at work here

Performance not results - so why the hullabaloo about FAYC and the establishment of a U23 Lge & Cups ("to replicate real-life conditions")?

Millions spent on Academies with velveteen pitches & 3G domes, then loaning players to lower lge clubs with spud fields for training pitches and all week geared towards getting results rather than individual development

It is lovely that Webber admits that some signings just don't work.
