To be fair though she may have screwed up the application

This is a story out out there by a liberal councillor with various critical comments handily provided by other Lib Dem party members and published in the guardian. She already has leave to remain in the country so she’s not being deported, she’s applying for Uk citizenship and they seem to be saying she hadn’t provided evidence she’s been living in the Uk full time.

I know it suits the current narrative to leap on every case like this but she may have messed up the forms or the home office may just have made an error. I agree though that the “computer says no” approach is doing them no favours and there seems to be a lack of common sense in resolving these issues but that is something that is endemic in both local and national government at times.

To those who say what have we become, I offer you ABs post about the mayor of Sheffield. Elected by the people most of whom probably could not give a toss about his race or religion and will rate him according to the job he does. We have a Muslim mayor in our capital city. We are one of if not the most welcoming nations in Europe despite the media and left wing hysterics continual attempts to portray us otherwise.
