There's no beef just Farke is doing what pretty much every other manager has done

by leaving Wes out. Normally they end up bringing him back in again as a regular starter but obviously this time the end of his contract has intervened.

In fairness to Farke he has at least had Madders (and at times Pritchard) as a like for like replacement and does recognise the benefits of ball retention unlike some of the other thickos who held the deluded belief that not playing Wes made us better defensively or harder to beat, especially away from home.

Even Lambert (who I don't include as one of those thickos) dropped him initially and almost get rid of him before finding the right formula.

Also as much as I love Wes, I would accept that keeping Tettey would probably be more important so far as next season goes. I fear though we will let them both go due to our uncompetitive "wage structure."
