Tbf we are, as a nation, quite pathetic when it comes to any kind of weather

other than dreich, which - ironically - the English do very well.

Other than that it's either the wrong kind of snow (i.e. any at all), or so hot the roads are melting. I've lived and worked in far poorer countries with far more extreme weather and they seem to cope just fine. We are good at many things; dealing with a little weather isn't one of them.
