Too much change, too quickly in my opinion
We still had this years parachute payments to challenge for promotion. A few sensible signings along with an experienced manager and we could have been in the mix this season.
The time to cut back was next season. Webber's arrogance meant that he thought he could repeat his luck at Huddersfield but that was a one off and a completely different club in terms of size and established players.
Unfortunately he couldn't even recruit a properly balanced squad so has left an inexperienced manager with a mess and not many options.
