Interesting post - good points.

I suppose the only thing I would challenge is the idea that the hierachy does not have football expertise.

The impression given is that this is exactly what the Board acknowledged in the splitting of the Chief Executive role and the appointment of Webber.

There is only so high in a club you can go and expect 'football knowledge' and the idea (in principle) is that Webber knows more about the game than McNally did.

Balls' role (for good or ill) is not to be a 'football person'.
