I know that fans should get behind the team

but really, the players also need to play a part here. Let's face it, we've scored seven home goals in nine games, there's barely any penalty box action, we create barely any chances, and haven't won at home for about two months.

The pace of our play is enough to send anyone over 50 to sleep, we've got players like Murphy and Vrancic who are too scared to get hurt to even tackle, let alone properly get stuck in.

When the football is unremittingly tedious and s**t, good luck getting fans to turn up in anticipatory mood and sing their hearts out for the lads. Ideally, they would, of course, but they won't.
