Thanks! I should add that I am not a Delia apologist
As owners they have had a number of failings and two are quite significant:
Their stewardship of the football side of things has been patchy to say the least. Hopefully the new structure will address this as, unlike other clubs, there is clearly a lack of football nous at board level.
The second is their inability to articulate some kind of vision for the club which fans can buy into. This was particularly necessary after the Times piece last year. So assuming we are not going to be sold then what kind of future do they envisage? Clearly this isn't easy, but it is necessary if they are going to avoid unrest when things don't go well. I have mentioned Frieburg a few times, and I think that being THE club that is known for blooding exciting young players could be a possibility. In fact, I thought that we might be doing this when we appointed Neil, but he turned out to be pretty conservative with youth after all. There might be other possibilities, but it understandable that fans need some kind of hope, indeed that is the drug that gets us back, season after season.
