Excellent post. I do think there is definitely something to be said...

...for supporting a club that essentially sees how far it can go, how much it can achieve, from a self-funding model. It requires owners to hold their nerve, for every pound to be sweated and for the club to expect and deliver the highest standard of performance from its various football and non-football teams. If we do it all-but flawlessly there is no reason why we can't establish ourselves in the Premier League, albeit most likely bouncing around in the lower reaches. But doing anything flawlessly is obviously very difficult and it doesn't exactly leave you with much wriggle room. A few s**t seasons, some internal disfunction, and we're staring at League One again. A bit of a tightrope then.

But at least it looks like NCFC have accepted that if they are to pursue this model effectively, the football structure needed entirely overhauling and the afe of infinite patience is behind us. It also showed that Delia and Michael welcome innovation and if it isn't to be global dollars coming in to Carrow Road, it will at least be global thinking. We should be reassured, in some part, by owners who are willing to look outwards.
