Yes but

Once you have broken ground on the concept of pay per view of specific matches/clubs rather than buying the whole package:
(A) you attract a new 'casual' market so increase the size of the pie, but specifically attributable to a given club
(B) you make it easier for clubs to potentially break away and sell some/all of their rights individually

The arguments are no different to what they are today, but the rewards become greater and the means of doing it become more apparent/easier to implement.

Greed does the rest.
