24 hour ago we had a free run at at least 4 decent managerial condidates and whilst I have no knowledge of whether we actually wanted them its not stretching the imagination too far to conclude that they would have all been on our shortlist.

24 hours later Dennis has declared Pardew is out of the running because he's too horrible and conceivably Warburton and Rowett have been snapped up by clubs moving swiftly to get "their man." Neither of those are outstanding enough to be truly gutted about but they were both viable options who it appears may now not be available to us. With this tedious obsession with cosmetic changes to "the structure" it will probably be weeks before we get a new manager in place and that seems strange given that they have known they may need to replace Neil for at least 3 months. As much as I wanted him gone they should have had his replacement lined up before finally pulling the trigger.
