We should get on with it but say we will only serve Article 50 simultaneously with

concluding our exit agreement with the EU so they had better start talking to us now if they want us out any time soon.

I think the freedom of movement point is reconcileable. I am a Brexiter and would be perfectly comfortable with freedom of movement for those with jobs, students, retired people able to support themselves financially etc coupled with an emergency break.

The referendum was ultimately whether or not we should leave the EU not over freedom of movement albeit I think the feedback from the campaign means that any future arrangements need to see additional controls on that freedom. The government though needs to get the best agreement for the whole country and not just the 52% and that will involve some compromise.
