What I can't understand is that when the police, ambulance service, Sheffield

Wednesday, structural engineers etc. etc. were culpable, the people who started the original crush are deemed completely & utterly blameless.

I worry that people in large crowds can become irrational. I'm not at all sure that abnegates any responsibility they have for their actions.

96 innocent people died. That is awful. It doesn't mean you have to deny the part that some of their fellow fans played in that tragedy - I think that fact is too horrible for them to contemplate, & so they want to shift the entirety of the blame elsewhere.
