Lambert's team would have got a similar return in this league to the one it did, in my opinion.

I would fancy the Lambert era team to have beaten Stoke away and one of Liverpool home or away, also quite possibly Newcastle away and certainly Villa. Also, I think we might have got a result at one of Watford and Bournemouth, or a couple of draws.

Rose tinted spectacles almost certainly, but what I'm pointing to is the never say die attitude and constant desire to attack in numbers. That approach yields results.

Much like it did for us at the start of the season against Bournemouth, Sunderland and West Ham.

At the moment, our away form is just a complete joke. It's not the lack of wins so much as the lack of draws. We're just so soft and easy to beat. You'd never have said that about the Lambert team (except the odd match here and there).
