With all the talk of WBA tearing down their system to accomodate Pulis I'm pretty sure I've heard Pulis say he doesn't care what the job title is as long as he is allowed to manage. Pulis doesn't actually sign the cheques, or take a sack of cash to player's house. He worked with a similar structure I'm sure at Palace and just heard the word No too many times for his liking. "Can I sign this overly-expensive aging winger who I plan to use sparingly please?" "Can I sign a few super-expensive lanky forwards who I can rotate as they drift in and out of form please?"
