I'm saying that a footballl club naming a stand after an athlete is weird - and I said so at the time, regardless of whether she's a supporter or not.

She has no association with football at all. Typical of the sport's self importance. Could you imagine (for example) Middlesex naming a stand at Lords after Steve Redgrave?

Actually, apparently she *is* a fan. And the point still stands imho.

Anyway, they named a stand after a local female role model who has nothing to do with the sport and now she's threatening to end her assocation. There's the hubris, right there.
