screaming in public was my great fear as a Dad-to-be

I used to absolutely hate, hate, hate listening to other peoples' screaming, snotty, bratty babies and children as a young bachelor. I'd have had them all taken outside and shot, such was my loathing of noisy children.

Now I have 15 month old twins, I don't give a s**t what other people think and if they need to cry, they cry. I have an ongoing debate around this with my wife, who still gets self-concious and wants to carry a dummy around just in case.

I now realise that we were all screaming kids once, and that I'm raising two future tax-payers on whom all those naive youngsters and old farts casting disapproving glances at me will be relying upon for their pensions, free healthcare etc.
