It's a fair point.
Still get the feeling that playing them is not a risk he likes taking. But that may be just because none of them have been good enough, I suppose.
Also though you do have to bear in mind the dross he's been signing. Ryan Jarvis may be no world-beater, but he's surely better than Jarrett....
