ions league football. The most realistic idea would be to keep the champions league as it is apart from teams being placed in the UEFA cup. Once you are out you are out.

UEFA cup seeded and straight knock out with the inclusion of cup winners and runners up and 3rd places depending on seeding of country.

Stop in season friendly matches during qualification and international competition years.
