Yes agreed. And that sort of crime will often be a product of

the lifestyle they have become accustomed to or aspire to. I don't disagree at all and suggest people would not take the same offence at a newspaper headline that suggested such a crime was in part the product of the perpetrator being the product of a privileged, greedy and materialistic section of society.

I just think its wrong and naive to claim that in this case the perpetrator's crime was not linked to his reliance on the benefit system when the evidence shows this was key to his motive for the crime.
