Who actually said "You black this and you black that" then?

One bloke, however disgraceful what he said was, does not necessarily mean that football has a problem with racism anymore than any other walk of life and yet here we are allowing someone to make out it is a bigger issue than it was. Although he rightly says City fans did the honourable thing, he makes out it was more widespread than it was by saying "there were people" when it was just one bloke.

Rather than drag NCFC into it once again, why don't the press make a bigger issue of the monkey chanting and widespread racist abuse in Spanish football? We all heard it on TV but nothing is done.

As for the Kick it Out campaign I'm all for it but in English football I think it has gone as far as it will go and you will never fully eradicate it. In fact, I think it is in danger of being compromised. I cannot remember the last time I heard reports of any racist chanting in England but allegedly, there would appear to be a bigger problem on the pitch. No point banning supporters if the players that come out with this stuff get a smack on the wrist. No chance of decent punishments being metered out to players though, there is far too much greed involved to let that happen.

And finally, I think the issue of Racism gets more than its fair share of airtime whereas other forms of abuse and disrespect are ignored. We have the Respect campaign, which again the players seem to ignore totally and if standards are allowed to fall in a wider sense then it is hardly a surprise if people think they can get away with stuff that the rest of us think is inappropriate.
