Have you seen how many teams are in the North West of England

There isn`t much chance of a team like Wigan increasing it`s fan base.

They are competing against Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and Everton who are the big clubs in that area.

Nearly every town up there has a league team of some sort.
Bolton
Blackburn
Preston
Bury
Rochdale
Oldham
Accrington

These towns are literally within pissing distance of each other.

Chelsea only started getting good crowds when the Russian turned up with his money. Before that I remember them getting crouds of 16k and Ken Bates buying them for ?1.
