all our "look how fantastic the Premier League is" stuff only states the obvious. England does not need the World Cup, since it won't benefit football here at all really (it's already massively successful here, as we are always telling everyone).
You can't go around trampling on overseas FA's toes with things like the grotesque 39th game thing (we see your country as nothing more than another opportunity to rake more money into the Premier League monster) and arrogantly telling everyone that we deserve it and they somehow owe it to us - and thenm expect them to bow down before us and vote for us.
