Erm, I'm guessing cos we cancelled it

we were liable to the promoter in some way, who was liable to Jones

If you look up Book Tom Jones on google, you can see an events company for him, which states 50% of his gig fee is paid if a gig is cancelled

There's no direct figure for Jones, but there's a minimum figure of $100k to book any of the artists on their site. So say he was worst act they have, cancellation would have been $50k, about ?35k

That's before everything else was cancelled, which will have had many of it's own financial casualties

I don't think at all that it was a case of just goind "do you know what Tom, we're going to have to give that day a miss, you don't mind do you?"
