Depends what you want out of a pet

If you want them to be independant, never be offended if you kick em up the arse, but every now again they appreciate you for taking em on, get a cat

If you want 100% dumb founded attention from an animal, need to laugh at something running into the patio door endlessly cos it's got no concept of glass, and you want something that needs all that but never answers back to you or is ever difficult

Then get a dog
