No, I've just today found out how much tattoos cost.

Lad at work: "seen my new tat, Al?" Hoiks up his shirt and shows mw his back. There's some old bird there making an enigmatic gesture and there's loads of doodling going all the way up towards his neck.

"Oh" sez I, not terribly impressed. Looking for something intelligent to say, I asked "How much did that cost you, then?".

No, hang on, I'm still reeling from this.
