Any evidence that Roeder wanted to sign Iverson but couldn't due to the board not giving him the cash they had promised?

Roeder himself refused to be held to ransom over Taylor and for that reason we didn't sign him, not because the board refused to stump up the extra ?250k. Is Taylor really worth ?1 million anyway? Had Roeder spent that money and left us with no money elsewhere, would you have been moaning that the squad clearly needed more that one player (as you did when Earnie was signed?)
